The Best Educational System
This is the story of the best educational system. My educational journey thus far. Whether or not you would agree with what I’m about to share, Singapore’s educational system, according to PISA, an influential worldwide study on educational systems, has the highest performance in international education and tops in global rankings.
In January 2020, Singapore students made up half of the perfect scorers in the IB examinations worldwide. And this says a lot. For the least, the system produces results.
I grew up in this system and most part of my life as of writing this, has spend in this ‘best’ educational system. 19 years and counting. But what make this system that competitive, reliable and is it how it really is ?
How can we differ from the rest that makes our system that special, or is it not.
My Troubles In School
I personally spend some time abroad before I came to Singapore. I only managed to step into this little island — The Little Red Dot when I was 4 years old.
I first stepped into this educational system when I was enrolled to one of the Kindergarten called Kinderland. Life then was carefree for the least but we had curriculum from 9am to 2pm.
